National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), the principle agricultural research institution on the national level. It consists of a main headquarter in Al-Balqaa - Ain Al-Basha and 8 regional centers located in Dair Alla, Ramtha, Mafraq, Mshaggar, Rabba, Tafilleh, Wadi Araba and Shobbak, 15 research stations representing different agro-ecological conditions and 20 scientific and service labs throughout Jordan.

Jordanian Beekeepers Union - Jordan (JBU) is a part of the General Union of Jordanian Farmers and includes under its banner a large number of beekeepers in Jordan. The JBU is the official representative of Jordanian beekeepers in official departments and many international institutions. The Union seeks to develop the beekeeping sector by training and qualifying beekeepers, presenting modern studies and presenting the latest scientific findings in this field.

Entity profile:

NARC is the only governmental agricultural research institution at national level and the national umbrella for the applied scientific research. It is a center of excellence in agricultural research, and the optimal use of available resources to achieve sustainable agricultural growth. Its mission can be briefed in promoting the agricultural sector through implementation of agricultural research, and introduction of appropriate and effective technology in cooperation with relevant national, regional, and international institutions for enhancing the economic and environmental level of Jordanian farmers. NARC could excel in scientific research in honey bees, especially in conserving the local honey bees in Jordan, with effective reach out with farmers and beekeepers. Multidisciplinary scientific publications in honey bees genetics and mitochondrial genome were pursued and published in peer-reviewed journals, which make the researchers in charge with enough experience to handle the project tasks and activities.

Entity profile:

The main tasks assigned to us in the project are collecting honey and honey bee samples from different regions at different times, in addition to publishing and disseminating the results of laboratory studies to the fullest. And since the JBU and its members are spread in all regions of the country, the associate members of the union have beehives scattered all over the country and they are originally honey producers, so the JBU is qualified and experienced to perform this role, which is collecting samples and delivering them to the laboratory. The Union is in constant contact with beekeepers throughout and provides training courses by a specialized training team and provides periodic and mobilizing scientific lectures. The JBU also has an active role in the media through the media, social media and through periodic scientific publications, as it is also able to publish the results of laboratory research.
