  • To describe and understand their adaptation to Mediterranean environmental conditions
  • To identify their resilience to climatic change

  • Genetic mapping of Apis mellifera subspecies in all participating countries to determine the genetic traits controlling their adaptation to Mediterranean environments
  • Valorisation of local Mediterranean subspecies. The use of local subspecies/ecotypes will be promoted in the beekeeping community of each participating country
